This is a visual experimentation of storytelling with images and the influence of how an image is perceived based on its presentation. This is a game of trust in the images and stories we decide to believe in as I propose an idea that they reveal who we are in the construction of the ideology we have grown up with.

The photograph is a mirror to the practitioner and the relationship to the identity.
I was so interested of how I got emotionally attached to memories I have never had. It is interesting to think about how we frame family photographs and how they frame us, developing an unconscious optic around them. Thus, I explore an object and photography’s ability to represent memories in a visual and metaphysical way becoming a three-dimensional space.
I am using memories of my grandparents and artistic documentation of my childhood home to create a fictional photo book of memories that have never happened. Or did they? It explores a photographic phenomenon of false memory. As it is believed the photograph is a mirror to the practitioner and the relationship to his identity and core practice.
